PHAR1020 : Non-Sterile Compounding

Students in this Continuing Education course will learn and practice extemporaneous compounding procedures while in compliance with USP795 standards. Hands-on training includes capsule preparation, ointments, creams, troches, suppositories for adults and pediatrics, use of mortar and pestle, graduated cylinders, and hot plates. Students will perform calculation required for non-sterile compounding product preparation. Florida residents: *Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida with an active license, pharmacy student, or a Registered Pharmacist with a NABP number prior to taking the course. No academic credit is awarded for this course.
