PHAR1010 : IV/Sterile Compounding

Students in this Continuing Education course will learn and practice the process of sterile compounding by demonstrating aseptic technique within legal and regulatory guidelines specified by USP 797 standards. Emphasis on aseptic techniques will be used in proper handwashing, hood cleaning, large and small volume parenteral preparation, and hazardous drugs. Students will perform calculation required for sterile product preparation and learn safe handling and preparation of compounded sterile preparations. Florida residents: *Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida with an active license, pharmacy student, or a Registered Pharmacist with a NABP number prior to taking the course. No academic credit is awarded for this course.
